Been pretty lazy logging on to blog. For the past few weeks, i've been such a frequent visitor at CGH.

Yeye had a fall and had to be admitted. It was a Sunday i remembered and i was at my own place(luckily). i was sleeping and the house phone rang. i picked the receiver up and Ah ma was on the other end. She said Yeye fell earlier in the morning when he's returning home after buying fruits near the steps at the supermarket. Fortunately, one of their neighbours spotted him and brought him home. Upon reaching home, he walked to the room and lay down for a nap but after napping, he found himself in pain and couldn't sit up. So Ah yi and uncle carried him to the sofa and asked whether he's okay. He said he was fine but after some sips of water he began throwing up! Thus Ah ma called. She wanted to look for mummy but mummy wasn't around.
Anyway, the ambulance was called in and Yeye was sent straight to the A&E. i rushed there immediately with Rog and my sis. i was damn worried and feared that Yeye would sustained head injuries. Upon reaching A&E, we still gotta wait for examinations. After a while, Yeye was wheeled out for X-ray. i cried when i saw him lying on the bed, looking worried and scared. It really pains me. Thou i knew he'll be fine, the thought of him going thru all these agony broke my heart.
X-ray turned out to be normal, no fractures nor hairline cracks but still they got to admit him for his abnormal blood pressure.
For one week, he was put under observation in a C-class ward. They sent him for several tests and found that he has cateract for both eyes. He didn't complained of blurred vision but the doctors suspected the fall was due to the poor vision and hypertension. So the doctors there prescribed him new drugs for his poorly controlled hypertension and observed him. He was advised to go for removal of the cateracts but he refused, saying that age is catching up, after a few more years he'll be gone anyway, so why waste the money on such procedure which will not aid him much. Sighs. Knowing his stubborn character, i don't know how to put it across to him. i visited him dutifully everyday straight after work just to accompany him. It's his first time in the hospital and there wasn't much freedom for him to move around so he kept bugging me to tell the doctors to discharge him. He was lonely.
After noticing the blood pressure was under controlled with the newly prescribed drugs, they discharged him home and he was happy.

A week later, misfortune struck again. This time Ah ma fell at the lift lobby downstairs. The ambulance was called in again. And yea, the same paramedic crew that came and brought Yeye to the hospital. Don't know to laugh or to cry. My sis called me at my workplace from the A&E to informed me about the fall. She said that Ah ma had a fracture and had to be admitted. OMG, one after another. As i was at work, i gave my sis some instructions on wot to do and she left for school after admitting Ah ma.
Ah ma was scheduled for an operation a few days later. Now, she's recuperating at St. Andrews Hospice, right beside CGH.

p/s: both are my maternal grandparents.

Even with such incidents, i still found time for fun. Went out quite often with Josephine + Ovaltine, Jasmine and Dailing to Vivo for dinner. Cine's HK Cafe became our new hangout with Crix + Marianne and Jason being new additions to the gang. Last but not least, not forgetting my ZQJLB kaki Qing, to join us at Balaclava or Wala Wala. Or rounds of mahjong!

It was great having such top-noch company of friends, who'll tell lame jokes and laugh at other people. tsktsk! Nonetheless, the band was awesome. Gotta thank Crix for introducing visual and hearing pleasures to us. Thanks for bringing out the rock in everyone of us especially Jasmine, who was mesmerised by your cool drummer friend. Haha!

And also having Zen+Julia+Keidi, Danny and Kai at Rog's place for steamboat on the eve of Hari Raya. Prawning and talk cock session with Danny and Kai at Sin Ming, and the breakfast after that.

Oh ya..Halloween will be up next. We'll all go Zouk and celebrate. Trick or treats!!
But Cathy will not be joining cos she will be conquering Mt Ophir with her other colleagues. Disappointing man..
