Slept really early on Saturday because Roger has classes the next day and we didn't plan for any late night outing. We wanted to catch Transformers at the newly opened Cathay at AMK Hub but tickets were sold out! But anyway, we had a great dinner at Fish & Co.
Upon reaching Rog's place after dinner, he mentioned something that caught my attention. Emirates Singapore Derby. Ooooooh.
Thinking about the small windfall i had at the SIA Cup, which was one of the big races that was held previously a few months back, returning back to Kranji got me all excited!
i tried to psycho Rog to go to the races with me and upon my persistent persuasion, he gave in and agreed. hehehe.
Rog woke up earlier than wot i expected on a Sunday morning. He was watching videos on past races with his dad, probably trying to do some analysis on his own. After a while, we left for breakfast nearby and we headed straight back as his younger sis has tuition later.
i got bathed, got ready and was told to wear jeans and shoes. Strictly no shorts and sandals.
There we are. . . . . . . . . . Singapore Turf Club!

We were early because his dad wanted to book a good place. i wonder how good the place was.
Upon reaching, Rog and me gotta buy ourselves entry tickets which costs $3 each. That'll be the entry to the lower grandstand.

Directory to show directions.
Duh.

A picture while waiting.

This is the entrance to the owners' lounge where only VVIPs and owners of the horses get to go. Looks quite exclusive. Some tai-tais dressed like they were going to picnic wearing big fanciful European hats with flowers or fruits sticking on it.

We got to enter by the lower grandstand first before Rog's parents could bring us up to the members area. Security is quite tight as one got to clear 2 gantries before gaining entry to the privileged area.

The moment i got in. WOAH....impressive man! Awesome view. We just got to get a good seat to watch all the live action folding in front of my eyes. The full length glass panels made everything looked so dimensional. And it's air-conditioned! Downstairs is way too stuffy & humid.

i explored a lil and realised that the whole area is actually next to the upper grandstand which is opened to public. The other area was sardine-packed with punters. Maybe u can't see from this photo but i swear, it was really crowded than wot u think. Adversely, the area we're in had ample space for Rog and me to play catching.

Look at these seats! Rows and rows of them. Resembled those in lecture halls, just that they had a coffee table in between.

You can choose to sit anywhere in the world you want. Be it front row or the last row, or on the steps. No one really bothers.
Soon it was time for the first race. Horses started to trot and parade themselves for punters to take their pick. i forgot to take pictures of horses racing because i was too thrilled and amazed by the scene that was displaying.

Oh, i forgot to mention that the members area serves free coffee and tea. Free flow. Excellent isn't it? They have food in there too, but gotta pay lar.

These were my bet tickets towards the last few races.

Rog and i won $68 in total. Not bad for a weekend adventure thou. HUR!

Something to rejoice about. Hehehe. Flown in from States about a week ago, specially for me! Wanna thank Rog for being the major shareholder and Sanqing for contributing his share too to make this a perfect gift.

i had a wonderful weekend.
Honestly, it's much better than boggie and getting sloashed the night away.
Roger shared the same sentiments as well.
Not to mention about our gains.
Plus, my long-awaited Coach Signature Duffle has arrived!
Twice the happiness man.
Will talk more on my weekend adventure once i figure how to get the bluetooth on the lappy working and upload the pictures.
If not, i shall painstakingly send it to my emails using Rog's mobile.
Hehehe.

Since you already got wot u wanted, why tell tales behind other ppl's back? Gaining sympathy? No one will fall for your tricks anymore, except for boss. i dunno wot he sees in u, to trust all your words, even though they are pure malice. No one bothers about u, no one incur your wrath, everyone of us just tolerate silently.
It's not that we don't dare to justify wot u've said but because we all know that the situation is not to our advantage. We will act when it's time to. Good for you, have boss to back u up. Wot abt us, we're left to fend for ourselves from all your cruel actions. All u do is to open your mouth and talk talk talk. So wot if u're not bad looking, your heart definitely is bad looking. Not only bad, it's downright despicable. Underhand methods worked just well for u.
Just remember that 人在做,天在看.
i hope u'll get your duly retribution.
Went for a relative's wedding dinner at Civil Servants Club on Saturday. 07/07/2007. Auspicious? Maybe. Seems that many couples tied the knots on that very day and ROM has a total of 777 couples registering their marriage!! Anyway, dinner started late around 9pm and everyone was damn hungry. We arrive promptly after 730pm but they in turn didn't start the banquet punctually. And some folks were even singing KTV to give their well wishes to the newly-wed despite our tummies were growling louder than their voices!

Actually i don't understand. If you've got a better offer somewhere, and decided to take up the job, why make a big hoo-ha out of it? Everything can be handled properly if it's well-planned but it wasn't and even made SC the scapegoat. No matter wot, you should have approached SC first before going to boss, considering the fact that she is still the in-charge. So wot if you know that you're boss's favourite, you're not putting other people's feelings into consideration. Wot is your motive by going straight to boss? Is it to put on an act so as to let boss ask you to stay on and eventually raised your salary? If you know that you're not gonna stay on, just tender the resignation and let boss be mentally prepared. Why so many 小动作? Wonder wot you've complaint to boss. Wanna leave, leave. Don't sow discord among us and made us misunderstand each other. But anyway, good luck to you.
Well, we went Double O on Sat. Reached there somewot around midnight, waited a while before a 'friend' came to bring us in to cut the long queue. It was full house. Can't believe it, that Dbl-o is still so popular. Must be the dirt cheap booze that attracts throngs and throngs of party animals. But i still prefer Zouk. Cyndi & Andrew decided to leave early cos Andrew wasn't feeling too well, so when it got really boring upstairs, we headed down to O-bar. Seeing that the re-entry queue is sooooo long, all of us said "Let's go Zouk man!" There we go, right to Zouk at 2am.
As we walked in, WOW! Dancefloor so packed with groovy funky hip-hop R'n'b music playing.
Look at the crowd! At 2am, unbelievable!

DJ Cash Money sial! Walao gazillion times better than O-bar's DJ lo. Kinda regretted going Dbl-o since the music and hype was way much better!
Try to spot Danny in the following pictures. It's like finding Wally.

We drank and made merry with Danny acting like an idiot. LOL.

i never knew late night shopping on Friday could be so fun. Oh, i wouldn't say fun, but i can't find a word to describe. Normally nights on Fridays will be home(away) alone but Jasmine jio shopping cos she needa get some clothings for office use. First stop, This Fashion. Damage for her, $8. Why? Her company is so nice to sponsor $100 and she just hafta pay the extras. Great!
By the time we're done with This Fashion, it started to rain a lil heavier. It was raining when we met, but it was just a light drizzle. So we took a train down to Orchard for more shopping and we hit the GAP store. It was so damn crowded, prolly it was the last chance for them to get stuffs before GST was raised to 7%.
Wot i got? A Polo tee for Rog...

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddddddddddd
